Queerodiverse is growing, and we are looking for people who want to help shape what comes next.

Whether you bring professional expertise, lived experience, community connections, or simply a willingness to contribute your time and skills, there are meaningful ways to get involved.

We are currently building the foundation of Queerodiverse as a global organization focused on queer neurodivergent inclusion, education, advocacy, research, community, and systems change. That means forming our first Board of Directors, expanding our volunteer team, developing resources and programs, and building the relationships that will help Queerodiverse grow sustainably.

Join the Board of Directors

Queerodiverse is seeking thoughtful, collaborative, and values-aligned people to help form our first Board of Directors. We are especially interested in board members with experience in public policy, research, charitable and nonprofit organizations, advocacy, governance, law, legal services, fundraising, organizational development, or related areas.

As a founding board member, you would have an opportunity to help shape the organization from the beginning. Board members will contribute to governance, strategic direction, organizational accountability, policy development, charitable registration, long-term sustainability, partnerships, and the growth of Queerodiverse’s global work.

We welcome interest from people who understand the importance of community-informed leadership and who are committed to creating more inclusive systems for queer and neurodivergent people. Lived experience is valued, but no single identity, profession, or background is expected to represent an entire community. We are interested in building a board that brings together different perspectives, skills, experiences, and ways of thinking.

Volunteer with Queerodiverse

Not every contribution requires board experience. Queerodiverse also needs volunteers who can help with the everyday work of building and running a growing organization. We are looking for people who may be interested in supporting areas such as email and community enquiries, social media, administration, networking, outreach, fundraising, communications, partnerships, resource development, and general organizational support.

Volunteer roles may be ongoing or project-based depending on your availability, interests, and skills. Some people may want to help manage a specific area, while others may have only a few hours available for a particular project. Both can make a meaningful difference.

As Queerodiverse grows, volunteer opportunities may also expand into research, education, peer support, event support, translation, accessibility, policy work, content development, and other areas. You do not need to be an expert in queer or neurodivergent issues to volunteer. We are looking for people who are willing to learn, work respectfully with others, and support the values and mission of Queerodiverse.

Help Build the Network

Queerodiverse is also interested in connecting with people and organizations that may not be looking for a formal board or volunteer role but still want to contribute. You may be able to help by introducing us to researchers, community organizations, charities, advocates, funders, educators, healthcare professionals, policymakers, businesses, schools, universities, or other potential collaborators.

A single introduction can lead to a new partnership, resource, project, training opportunity, research collaboration, or community connection. If you believe there is someone Queerodiverse should know, we would love to hear from you.

Support Fundraising and Growth

Building an international organization takes resources. We are looking for people with experience or interest in fundraising, grant development, sponsorships, donor engagement, philanthropy, and community fundraising who can help Queerodiverse build a sustainable foundation for its work.

This may include identifying funding opportunities, helping develop grant applications, building relationships with potential supporters, supporting fundraising campaigns, or contributing to longer-term fundraising strategy. As Queerodiverse works toward registered charitable status in Canada, fundraising volunteers will also help us prepare for future opportunities to expand our programs, resources, education, advocacy, and global reach.

We value people who are curious, dependable, collaborative, and comfortable working with a growing organization where some systems are still being built. Queerodiverse is particularly interested in people who believe in accessibility, inclusion, community-led change, thoughtful advocacy, and the importance of listening to lived experience.
